The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTSC) made television frequency tender after 19 years. Habertürk TV ranked among the top 8 among 13 channels, and gained right to obtain broadcast license with high resolution (HD). Since TRT 1 is a public enterprise, it ranked first in command. Habertürk TV will rank 9th in command.
